This is one of five pieces I donated to Madi’s House, a supportive environment for adults with mental health and addiction issues.
49 Bottle Caps (Red)
I sent this small wall sculpture to a friend for a birthday present. Environmentally friendly, it features recycled bottle caps on a recycled frame.
2 CD’s on Beads
I started this piece years ago. It went through a number of iterations before I ended up with the painted CD’s you see here. I gave this to a musician friend and he really liked it. Check out the frame. It looks like silver, but it’s just aluminum foil.
Secret Artworks 2020
I was happy to be one of 50 local artists included in this year’s Secret Artworks auction. Online this year, it raised money for Artworks, the organization that paints beautiful murals throughout the Cincinnati area. My wall sculpture, titled, “Hello Mello Yello 99 + 17” features 116 empty Juicy Fruit Packs (I chew a lot of gum) fixed on a 36-inch square canvas. In case you’re wondering, the numbers in the title stand for 9 x 11 = 99 packs stuck on the canvas plus 17 more doubled up for more dimensionality.
German Paper Maschay
This key dish is made from German Paper Maschay, a top-secret, environmentally friendly alternative to traditional French papier mache. A dish like this can also be used for coins or candy or any other small items. Use your imagination!
Double Vision XI to Be Rescheduled
I collaborated with my friend Katie on this piece for Double Vision XI. The popular Visionaries + Voices fundraiser was originally scheduled for this past Friday. The whole V+V community is looking forward to the rescheduled event which hopefully will take place later in the year.
Recent Commission
I recently created and sold a commissioned wall sculpture, Not Quite Right (Angles) 54. Here it is in a room above a piece called Amalgamation 35.
Paper Clip Wall Sculptures
These three paper clip pieces were on display at Art Beyond Boundaries Gallery from November to January. Although very attractive, the tiny thermostat wall sculpture is not part of my work.
Secret Artworks 2019
This is the piece I did for Secret Artworks. I’m happy to be a part of this fundraiser that benefits Artworks, an organization that among other things paints big beautiful murals all over Cincinnati.
Five Hubcaps
Five of my recently painted hubcaps were displayed together at Art Beyond Boundaries Gallery in OTR in October.
