These three pieces were displayed at Art Beyond Boundaries in Over-The-Rhine. At the top is 80 Medicine Bottles. Below are 59 Bottle Caps (Green) and 59 Bottle Caps (Blue).
Springmageddon
I got four pieces in the Springmageddon Show at Art Beyond Boundaries. The show opened Friday, March 29 and runs till May 17.
My pieces all use recycled materials: Bottle Caps, Bubble Wrap, Gum Packs and Remote Controls.

Secret Artworks
This is the piece I made for Secret Artworks, a fundraiser for Artworks, a not-for-profit organization that among other things paints murals all over Cincinnati. I was happy to see that this piece was snatched up quickly.
The Secret Artworks pieces were all by local artists and had to be 5 x 7 inches. For mine I took a 4 x 6 frame (with outer dimensions of 5 x 7). I stuck a grid of bottle caps to the inside of the frame. You probably can’t tell, but the piece is very dimensional. I stacked the bottle caps in heights of one, two or three. Then I painted everything with bright acrylic paint.
Blast from the Past
This is a painting I made a long time ago when I lived in Southern California. I used to ride my bicycle up and down the Pacific Coast Highway bike path. I always looked enviously as I passed a swimming pool from a Huntington Beach apartment complex that was practically on the beach.
I gave the painting to my good friend Joyce who recently shared this photo with me. My favorite parts are the lounge chairs. And the welcome mat at the gate. And the purple deck stones. And the pink wall with white bricks. And the sea gulls by the horizon. And the waves rolling in. Truth be told, I like this painting a lot. It brings back many good memories.
Dayton Art Institute
I got a piece in a museum!
I put it there myself, secretly adding this German Origami dog to the Dayton Art Institute’s Origami exhibit. Tee hee!
The Big Little Art Show
I was happy to have three pieces included in The Big Little Art Show at Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park last month.
The show was a fundraising auction benefitting Pyramid Hill. Every piece had to be 10 x 10 inches or smaller. The event was a rousing success, and I was honored to donate my artwork to this outstanding organization.
Pyramid Hill is in Hamilton, Ohio about a half hour north of Cincinnati. It’s a 330-acre world-class sculpture park with more than 60 monumental outdoor sculptures in a landscape of rolling hills, meadows, lakes, and hiking trails. The park also features an equally world-class Ancient Sculpture Museum that displays sculptures dating to 1550 B.C.
So you get two incredible sculpture destinations in one location. We’re lucky to have this amazing venue in Southwest Ohio.
Double Vision 9
These are the paintings I did with my friends Katie and Nick for the Double Vision 9 art auction benefitting Visionaries and Voices in April.
Double Vision 8
This is a painting I made with my friend Katie. It was for a fundraising auction in May that benefitted Visionaries + Voices . We used a variety of acrylic paints including neon pink and yellow and silver metallic. It sold for $650.
Background Painting
In case you’re wondering, this is the acrylic painting I’m using as the background for this website.
